the news.

I promised you exciting news, so here it is!!  for the last couple weeks, I've been working feverishly on my (drum roll please...) brand. new. website!!

okay, fine, it's much more exciting for me than for you, but I'm excited for you to check it out.  it's about 99% done, and I can't wait to see what you think (the products section is still under construction, but will be done soon enough).  so, hop over here, give it a little look-see, and let me know what you think.  seriously, let me know.  I would love to get any feedback in terms of improvement, coloring (is it too plain?  I'm all about the simple, but is this way too simple?),wording, etc.

so, here's the really exciting part.  for the official launch of my website (which will be on Monday), I'm offering ALL my packages, including weddings, at FIFTY PERCENT OFF.  for seven days only, if you get your appointment on the books, you pay 50% of the full price.  reason?  I'm so sad to be leaving pittsburgh, and I want to get as many of you on the books that want to be on the books.  :)   I can promise you this is a one time deal, so take advantage!
here are the details:

1. appointment must be booked between march 22 and march 29.
2.  at the time of booking, package must be chosen and upfront 50% payment must be made to reserve your appointment.
3.  if you're booking in pittsburgh, the last date I'll be shooting sessions is may 14th.
4. if you're booking in phoenix, the first date I'll be shooting sessions is june 1st.

so spread the word!  oh, and while we're here, what do you think of my new business cards??  really, I want to know what you think.  I'm putting the order in monday.  :)

I like the website simple. I think it reads as simple and not plain which is lovely. I'm so proud and jealous (just sayin) of you launching a business! I think every day of ways I could make something of my own, get out of the suffocating office job that I'm beginning to dread...

talented, talented, talented.

I haven't viewed them all, but I think you did well choosing the images that brand your work. really beautiful lib.

love it... And it is fun to see lots of mackers and some of my kiddos too :) the only thing I would say is, I love the fun names you have given your categories (lovely people, etc)...and it might also be helpful to put the actual category with it, in parentheses or something. Then it is easy to see/go to.

or not... !

and I love being able to see and click on the individual pictures on the left without having to go through the whole slideshow... That way people can go back and forth to see images again. You had it on some categories and not on others... I'm sure that is in the plans.

wow... Fun to see you really going for this. So proud of you!

the website looks great! i love the simplicity of it.

i need to talk to trav but i am pretty sure we'd love to book you for some family pictures here in mesa. is it 50% off the shoot and the CD of images, or just 50% off the shoot?

we're very excited to have you guys in town soon! good luck w/ the wrap-up of dental school, moving, etc!

I couldn't tell from the pricing what I would actually be paying for the finished product--$100 for a session fee but what is the final cost for the pictures or the CD? You had A for weddings. What is the B or C package?

Awesome, Libby! I'm really happy that your photography business is warranting an official website. You are an amazing photographer. If I'm ever in the same area of the country as you, I am calling you for a photo shoot.

I love the website. I love that it's easy to find things and gives an overview of what potential clients can expect, while, at the same time, showcasing your incredible talent. Like I've said before, you inspire me. I hope I can do something similar (sooner than later!)--take something I have a passion for and turn it into something that not only profits me but also makes life more beautiful for others.

Hey Libby, did you create the website yourself? Or did you have someone else do it? I have an Art website, that I'm wanting to have done in a flash mode, but I don't know how.
